The Sari Dienes Foundation is a New York State registered educational charity dedicated to the preservation of the art of Sari Dienes (1898-1992). The legacy of her many forms of art work is preserved in storage in Pomona NY. The SDF also serves as a grant sponsor for living artists work, as Sari had been assisted in her life by the legacies of Jackson Pollack and other friends.
The Foundation Board includes Johanna Vanderbeek, Paco Underhill and Rick Brandwein. The Director is Rip Hayman, Curator is Barabra Pollitt, who have documented the remaining works of Sari Dienes and prepared exhibitions at galleries and museums in the US and Europe. A qualified art historian is being sought who can write a full biography of this remarkable artist.
The compilation of images on this site and continued research on Sari Dienes' work in the 1950s courtesy of art historian Kate Zeller.
